Your result for Howard Gardner's Eight Types of Intelligence Test... Naturalistic
"This area has to do with nature, nurturing and relating information to one's natural surroundings. Those with it are said to have greater sensitivity to nature and their place within it, the ability to nurture and grow things, and greater ease in caring for, taming and interacting with animals. They may also be able to discern changes in weather or similar fluctuations in their natural surroundings. They are also good at recognizing and classifying different species. 'Naturalists' learn best when the subject involves collecting and analyzing, or is closely related to something prominent in nature; they also don't enjoy learning unfamiliar or seemingly useless subjects with little or no connections to nature. It is advised that naturalistic learners would learn more through being outside or in a kinesthetic way. Careers which suit those with this intelligence include scientists, naturalists, conservationists, gardeners and farmers." (Wikipedia) |

Baby, what's your sign? (Celtic Zodiac) You are were born under the willow. This tree was sacred to the Moon and, in Celtic lore, the Universe was hatched from two crimson serpent eggs (which contained the Sun and the Earth) hidden among the boughs of the Willow. In general, Willow individuals are basically articulate, strong-willed, resourceful and possessed with excellent memories. Willow people respond quickly to situations but are prone to sudden mood changes, which can make them difficult to get to know. As a friend, the Willow individual can be a powerful ally...on the other hand, he or she can make for a formidable enemy. Willows have a type of passive tenacity and can be extraordinarily wise counselors and extremely nurturing parents who are protective of loved ones. The Willow person is often reluctant to forgive and forget, which can lead to permanent rifts with friends and family. very responsible positions but find it hard to settle upon a definitive career. If the career choice should be in the field of education, however, they are counted among the best teachers. Willow individuals seldom express a controversial opinion in public (which makes them appear very amiable) but privately, their views are usually strong one way or the other. They are possessed with an overactive imagination and tend to fret needlessly about health matters. Take this quiz!

Longtime No Update
Spring is attempting to arrive in Chicago. I can't wait, I'm itching for all things warm, green, fresh, and blooming. I might be able to wear a skirt tomorrow, Yahoo! Work is getting better after a rough few weeks. I'm trying my best to stay sane amongst the chaos of misunderstandings, stubborn minds and unknown futures. I'm currently writing a freelance article for LSTC magazine the Epistle. I got to see my friend kathy from The Lutheran last week, I've really missed spending time with non LSTC folk. I can't wait till my family comes up for AA and Tasha's wedding this summer. I miss them and wish I was going home for Easter instead of staying here. It will be my first Easter ever being away from home. Lellie was here a couple weeks ago. She kept us busy going to all the museums she could pack in during one week. Danielle will be here at the end of May and I think that will be an awesome belated B-day present. Jamie seems to be doing well with seminary classes. I think he's ready for a break, which will come in May for just a couple weeks. Then he has to PAY to work 40hrs a week in a CPE program. Craziness! But it will be a good experience because he is in the Urban program instead of a hospital chaplin setting. I hope all is well with everyone. I miss you all terribly. *hugs* Current Mood: complacent |

My new Job
I am officially the Administrative Assistant for LSTC's Youth In Mission Program. But don't let the title fool you. I'll be traveling to youth events and churches to advertise the program along with creating more brochures. With the regular phone answering, informational mailings, scheduling of events, coordinating meals, stuffing binders, and a variety of other things. It's a Temporary Full-Time position until August. Then I will help them transition form Grant Funding to LSTC-Funding and I may be hired as a permanent hire. Anyway I'm excited about the whole thing especially the pay and the benefits. *hugs* to all. Thanks for all your support during my long job search. I love you guys! Current Mood: creative |

A real Update
Ok, So I haven't had an honest to goodness real update in ages, so I figure its about time to get around to it. I have been living in Chicago for almost 4 months now. I am currently working part-time in the LSTC book center. I am do there publicity, schedule book chats, plan kids events and story time, I do data entry of class text request (thatsucks), and I handle sales. Overall its not a bad job. My boss is alittle on the crazy/compulsive side but I like her. The apartment is great...currently in a disastrous state...It is the weekend and that will soon be remedied. Chicago is, well, Really Cold! But guess what...there's snow and I LOVE SNOW! Jamie seems to be surviving seminary well enough. I'm not sure he's ready for the end of the semester to be here, but he's done a week from today. I didn't get the UofC job so I'll be home for Christmas, Family B-days and New Years. I really would have liked and really need a full-time job. But I guess it wasn't a writing position so its not the end of the world. Has anybody heard about writing jobs in Chicago? Any good contacts... I could use them. My aunt norma and dad seem to be recovering from there separate surgeries well. Lets hope and pray they continue to improve. I was so happy to see daddy walking without a cane at Thanksgiving. I guess I should go clean the apartment before it is condemned because of its messy and dirty state. *hugs* to all. I miss you terribly! Current Mood: drainedCurrent Music: Liz Phair "Polyester Bride" |
